Queen shams are 20″ × 30″ and King shams are 20″ × 36″, sold as a pair with an envelope closure.
A pillowcase is the open-ended case you sleep on; a sham closes with an envelope back and dresses the pillows that sit in front. Ours are cut from the same bamboo sateen, so they're soft enough to sleep on anyway.
